Brands and Source Companies

Welcome to our list of Brands and Manufacturers.  We carefully vet all of our products and the companies that make them.

We look at the first level of producers; do they publicly subscribe to fair trade concepts and do they operate with socially responsible guidelines.

We next look at the source material, and try to determine if it is sustainable. 

We then look at the farming or manufacturing practices; again, is the company driven by socially responsible guidelines and do they pay a living family wage and provide good working conditions.

Lastly we look at the final product, is it generally green, is it biodegradable, compostable, recyclable, or reusable.  Does it use Chlorine, harsh chemicals, or toxic dyes.  

We are not chemist, inspectors or green-police, but we do understand what we all are trying to accomplish and do our best to weed out the corporate wannabes and the green-washed products.  We will use and do use most if not all of the products we sell.  In fact, we generally buy and test or use them in our home before we decide to carry it in our retail or web-store.
